This design makes good baffling possible.

Many Barlows use relatively inexpensive optics that are configured out to about 50% of the total Dia. This is not too bad if you have a slow scope f7 on up. If you have an f6 or lower the light cone is much larger and penetrates a larger area of the optic. Use this area and serious distortion will start to show up. All Siebert optics lens are corrected out to 90% of edge leaving the place for a retainer to hold the optics. That means that the field will remain undistorted in fast scopes.

Siebert Optics does not expect everyone to know many of these things. That is why we have made sure that when you purchase a Siebert optics product you are getting better quality then you might realize. There has never been a cheap Barlow on this page and never will be!

The Ultra Series are the TV PowerMates counterparts. Our x4 and up optics are the same size as the TV PM Barlows and will illuminate a F.S. up to 65mm if that were possible in a 2" size.

All Balows in this series can come with a T2 top for attaching a camera. Just ask and I will include the T2 top and the barlow will also have a standard top for 1,25" eyepieces. Also it can have a screw off bottom element section if you like. Just make the request when ordering.

You will not be disappointed if you try one of these. Elements are Dielectric Coated and Guaranteed with a 30 day return policy. The performance Barlows in Ad #2 are great and you will not find a Barlow that will measurably out perform them. But the Elite series Barlows here are made for applications on the highest end of the spectrum and F-ratios down to F2.8 and lower. These are the best Telenegative/APO Barlows available at any price.

Only my Telecentric series in Ad #3 will perfom at this level and are made with the same high cost optics.

The Ultra Telecentric series are TV PM style and are favored for photographic applications.

The Elite series are favored for visual use where the telescope demands the most from the barlow. The Elite series are also a favorite of planetary imagers.

This series uses longer Focal length optics than most Barlows at the same magnification.

Variable magnification and focus adapter

FOR Astrophotography.

What this does.

Sometimes you need Super quality magnifier with a very specific magnification at a specific distance. These Focus adapters can create the exact focus you need and can also adjust the magnification up or down within a certain range. Also the amount of space you need in-between the Barlow and Camera. These Magnifierx have a lot of adjustablity built into them.

ex: You have a ADC/filter wheel/Camera combo=100mm and you need to focus at x4 exactly at the camera. This device will do that for you. You want to adjust the magnification to 4.5x no problem. Or you need to keep 4x and add 10mm to your spacing also no problem.You can make some minor adjustments to the corrector. All these have equipment train spacing from 90mm-110mm.

Eyepieces and binoviewers FOCAL LENGTH REDUCER

FOR SCT'S/MCT'S and refractors.

When you purchase please specify if this is for single eyepieces or for use with a binoviewer.

Have a wider True field with the same eyepieces.

How it works.

This a focal length reducer for your SCT and eyepieces and binoviewers. People need to be warned about these. They can work very well if you don't overdo the focal length reduction. That is why this unit is limited to a 40% reduction which means that if your scope is operating at between f/10 and f/12 you will get a roughly 40% reduction to between f/6-F/7. This may vary slightly depending on a few things including your binoviewer. This is about the maximum that can reasonably be done for two important reasons. 1. Focusing. This unit will focus in virtually any SCT 8" and up with some focusing to spare, 2. By driving down your focal length below f/6 you may introduce so very serious optical irregularities. Call for more information about this. Do not expect an f/10 system to be reduced to f/5 or under f/5 and perform halfway decent. These focal length reducers will maintain excellent image quality and color correction while reducing your scopes magnification. You can use a set of 24mm SWA without apparent vignetting

The SCT model will work by screwing on to the back of the SCT and then threading on your Visual back on to it. The reduction is most with binoivewers because of the extra spacing. Sngle eyepieces will be less magnification You can switch back between mono and bino. Cameras will work with it as well. These are not for low power 2" eyepieces. 2" eyepieces up to 32mm WA will be fine.
